8th January 2012 New Pendolino 390055 is due to enter service from Monday 9th January, initially running as a 9-car set. This will allow one of the existing Pendolino 9-car sets to be removed from service to test the insertion of two additional cars into a standard formation.
DVT 82306 (previously 82144) has emerged in Arriva Trains Wales livery with 82307 (previously 82131) to also be repainted in Arriva colours. It is understood that they will be used with Class 67s (67001 and 67003) on the Holyhead to Cardiff Central loco hauled diagram.
